story

Once upon a time, I owned a single server.

That server hosted my music collection, applications, software configurations, notes, and was genearlly my go-to for everything.

And life was good… you know, but not really.

If a software update went south, there went my day… or two.

Hardware failure? Maybe I’d only lose a week of my life.

And what about re-installs? Oh man! now we’re talking about weeks getting back up to speed!

Perhaps I would have shrugged it off, if it didn’t also imply spending the vast majority of my time at a desk.

I’m not much of a desk person.
